In the design and testing phase of product development SoPhTec® relied heavily on the expertise of Dr. Klaus Kronenberg. Dr. Kronenberg is most probably the leading expert in the free world on the subject of physical water conditioning, serving as a consultant to leading physical water conditioning companies in both the United States and Europe.

Since the original introduction of SoPhTec®'s Model C-500 clamp-on conditioner a smaller clamp-on, the model C-250, and an in-line unit, the Model I-1020, have been added to round out the product offering. The products are currently in use in single and multi-family residences and in commercial and industrial applications and are finding wide acceptance in a rapidly growing agricultural market. There is also extensive use of the products for fuel conditioning on both private and commercial vehicles.
